La lagartija
se asoma entre las piedras;
se baña de sol,
levanta sus dos patas,
se viste de holograma.

Blanco gusano
tu silueta sinuosa
que se recorta
por la roja manzana
ebria de dulce néctar.

Arriba airada
la feroz libélula
en el estanque;
soberbia como hambrienta;
de tornasolada piel.

Tierno eres gorrión
cuando se abre tu trino
paso en el jardín;
levantas la cabeza
y te das a tu vuelo.

Una naranja
con su vibrante color
contrasta el verde
del paisaje de fondo;
la invaden las hormigas.

Se va enroscando
una astuta serpiente
muy sigilosa:
toda escamada la piel
y de lengua bípeda

Armadura gris
luce el rinoceronte y
nariz de cuerno;
furioso en su estampida
la tierra se estremece

Quieto el camaleón
en la rama de su árbol
cambió de color;
giró su ojo derecho
y se tragó un insecto.

En la foresta
huele el escarabajo
las feromonas
de una preciosa hembra;
la seduce y se aparean.

Dorado jaguar
de manchado pelaje
siempre al acecho;
de afilados colmillos,
rápido y agresivo.

Nace la canción
en el eco de tu voz,
chileno poeta:
del metal oxidado;
como dorada greda.
